Rare Disease Day 2021

Some of you might already be aware that Rare Disease Day takes place on the last day of February each year. The idea behind the day is to raise awareness about rare diseases and their impact on patients’ lives.

This year, the organisation asks us to create art work with our children (or by yourself!) and then exhibit in your window and, most importantly, to tag the art on social media.

Freddie really enjoyed making the hand print art and we tagged ours CDKL5UK as a close friend of ours lost her young daughter to this illness.

There are many rare diseases

Rare is many. Rare is strong. Rare is proud.

More information can be found in this video.

There is more information about the cause and different ways you can get involved, including downloadable colouring in and art templates, on the website.

Thanks and have a lovely weekend,
