Parliament Week

This week, we are celebrating Parliament Week! UK Parliament Week is an annual festival that engages people from across the UK with their UK Parliament, explores what it means to them and empowers them to get involved. Last year over 1.2 million people took part in UK Parliament Week, in every nation and region of the UK. Today, pupils had an assembly with Miss Mahon where we learned that, throughout the week, pupils would get the chance to vote for two new meals to be included in the school menu – putting democracy in to action!  This week the pupils will also learn a bit more about the British democratic process in class sessions and, on Friday, Year Six will (hopefully) get to chat to real life MP Andy Slaughter in a video chat. How exciting!
