Life Bus 2021

This week we are lucky enough to have our ‘Life Bus’ sessions from Coram Education. This is the educational provider that helps deliver our Relationships and Health Education curriculum. Usually, we go to a ‘bus’ parked in the playground which has beautiful lighting, a screen and the all-important Velcro walls and have a lovely session with our CORAM lead Sarah. Of course we’re not back to normal just yet, however, with the power of Zoom, we are able to still enjoy a ‘live online’ session where we will talk directly with Sarah. Each year group will cover a particular focus from the Relationships and Health Curriculum. Reception to Year 2 will have a session about feelings, Year 3 and 4 will have a session about keeping a healthy brain and body and Years 5 and 6 will focus on looking after their physical and mental wellbeing. These topics will tie in very nicely with the current Relationships and Health unit being studied across the school – ‘Being My Best’. The children love these sessions and, despite the loss of the ‘bus’ this year, I am sure they will still be a big hit!
