Easter Bonnet Parade 2022

Easter Bonnet Parade 2022

What a collection of glorious bonnets we saw this year!  Using mainly recycled materials, the children fashioned bonnets of all shapes and sizes.  Along with the usual cute and colourful bunnies and Easter eggs, there was a very prominent display of blue and yellow, heralding support for those families who are suffering in Ukraine.  Easter is the time when we remember the sacrifice Jesus made for us and the hope He brought to the world – a message that is particularly relevant at the present time.

It was, as usual, a difficult task to select winners from all the wonderful creations and Miss Mahon’s Year 5 class deserve a special mention for whole class effort.  We also sadly say goodbye to the Knight family; Viola, Harrison and Edith, who are leaving for America.  All three children won a prize for their tremendous bonnets, perhaps they’re getting in training for donning their Texan cowboy hats! We wish them all the best.
