Open Classrooms

A massive thank you to all those parents who joined us for Open Classrooms this week. It was lovely to catch up with everyone and a great opportunity to see the fantastic work your children have completed.

Raworth Cup

This week, the school has literally been alive with the sound of music as the children competed to win the Raworth Cup. Each morning, children showcased their musical talents with an array of instruments and a winner was then chosen each day to go forward the grand final this morning. We heard Thelma smash out her drum solo to a Duffy classic, James and Dylan played the piano to perfection, Essaya’s violin solo floated beautifully through the hall, Chiara strummed her guitar with expert precision and musicality and Rose filled that hall with a belting trumpet solo and then moved on to tickle the ivories superbly. They were all winners in our eyes but the Raworth Cup went to Rose – well done!

Reception and Year 1 Sports Day

The Reception and Year 1 Sports Day took place in the sun at Shepherd’s Bush Cricket Club. The children had a wonderful time in all of the traditional sports day activities – something for everyone – winning wristbands, as well as the admiration of proud parents, for all competitors.

Year 4 Athletics

It was the turn of the Y4 Athletics Team, earlier in the week, to represent St Stephen’s at the latest at Quad Kids UK event. Held at the famous Linford Christie stadium, the children competed against ten other locals schools, having loads of fun. Well done to all involved.

Eid Mubarak

This week, millions of Muslims marked Eid: a 3 day celebration to mark God’s testing of Prophet Abraham. May this time bring joy, blessings and unity to all of our Muslim staff, pupils and friends and to our wider community in West London and all around the world.

FOSS AGM

Thank you to all those parents who joined us last night for the annual FOSS AGM. We were a small but productive crowd with lots of ideas for next year. A massive thank you to Celine and Carrie for doing such a sterling job this year and introducing new ideas and for putting new systems in place. Onwards and upwards

And Finally… Don’t forget to head down to the school tomorrow between 12 – 4pm for our Summer Festival – lots of stalls, rides, delicious food and thirst quenching drinks to get the summer started!

See you tomorrow.
